Great point! Therapists are human and are still impacted by life, stress, and current events. We also have our own lived experience and value systems. In order to ensure I provide the best service to my clients, I engage in ongoing individual and couples therapy. I am also engaged in my own ongoing therapy to help me process my day-to-day experiences before I guide my clients in navigating theirs.

I am available for telehealth appointments only. Please be aware that if you are using out of network benefits, it is important to clarify with your health insurance company if they cover telehealth services.

Yes, the initial consultation is 15 minutes and will offer a space for you to share your reasons for seeking support via therapy and unpack any questions/ wonderings you may have. The consultation will also allow you to get a sense of my therapeutic style. If you/ we decide we are not a good fit, or your reasons for seeking therapy are beyond my scope of practice, I can refer you to another provider who is better suited to meet your needs.

I currently accept BCBSNC, Aetna and Cigna insurances.
If you don't see your insurance listed, I would be considered out of network. A superbill/ invoice can be provided if you wish to obtain reimbursement through your insurance carrier. I do not contact or deal directly with insurance.
Contact your benefits administrator to inquire about out-of-network coverage for mental health services and ask the following questions before scheduling an appointment:
Do I have out of network mental health benefits and do you reimburse?
What is the procedure for reimbursement?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How much does my insurance plan cover for an out-of-network provider for procedure code (CPT code) 90834, 90837, or 90791?

Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Spending Account (HSA)- (when the card has a Visa or MasterCard logo on it. You can rest assured that we can provide you with an invoice to verify our status as a health care provider if requested by your FSA/HSA account provider)

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am not licensed to prescribe medication. If the need for medication arises during our time together, I can refer you to a psychiatrist or you can explore the need with your primary doctor to discuss options to suit your needs.

If you need to cancel your appointment please let me know 24 hours in advance to avoid the cancellation fee. You are responsible for the full session fee if less than 24 hour advance notice is provided.
